But using Yogyakarta to Probolinggo train would be uneasy because usually the train from Jogja to Probolinggo arrived late than those to Surabaya. Yogyakarta – Malang – Cemoro Lawang – Mount Bromo

Another way to get to Bromo is by passing Malang city. Why should using this route?  Malang to mt Bromo is the easiest way and is more saving time. You can have great moment to Bromo and Tengger Caldera better and quicker than if you use Probolinggo route. Take train Yogyakarta to Malang which spends 7 hours to go. After you arrive in Malang train station, use angkot (minibus), taxi, or motorbike taxi (ojek) to go to Arjosari terminal. Then find angkot that go to Tumpang. From Tumpang to Cemoro Lawang you can get ojek or other way is using shared jeep which is usually in Tumpang market.

Going to Bromo by Malang route is much easier, plus you can have more beautiful scenery of the mountain. Yogyakarta – Bromo – Bali Trip
