3D2N Mount Semeru Trekking. Mount Semeru is an active volcano located in East Java, Indonesia. Mt Semeru is located 3767 meter above sea level and is known as the highest mountain on Java. This Mountain is located inside Bromo Semeru Tengger National Park. This 50.000 hectar Bromo Semeru National Park consists several mountains and valleys including Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, Mount Kursi, Mount Watangan, Mount Widodaren.
Nice to know is that on Semeru mountain you can find many kinds of flora like acacia, pine trees, edelweis and also animals like the black panther, deer, mongoose, and many more.
3D2N Mount Semeru Trekking Tour Itinerary
Meeting point : Malang / Surabaya
Itinerary :
Day 01. Arrival Surabaya – Ranu Pane – Camping Kumbolo Lake
Meet and greet with our staff then continue with private transport to Tumpang Village (4 hours driving). Here we change our transport vehicle to Jeep 4Wd or truck to Village Ranu Pane (2,5 hours driving). At the base camp you can leave your luggage behind when we start trekking. The track of 6-8 hours will bring us to Kalimati (2700m). After lunch and a short break we continue to Kalimati passing through a savanna field at the feet of Mt Semeru. Here we will build camp and rest as your energy will be needed for the midnight hike to the Summit.
Day 02.Mount Semeru Summit – Ranu Kumbolo Lake
At midnight around 01.00 we start a hard climb till the summit (rough ground, steep hike) from around 3 hours. The loose send on this track will make it hard, good condition needed. Here we will enjoy an amazing view from one of the highest volcano in Java Island. We go back to the camp to have our breakfast and to have some rest. We will continue back to Ranu Kumbolo and stay there to enjoy the beautiful lake.
Day 03.Ranu Kumbolo Lake – Ranu Pane – Surabaya (B,L)
After breakfast back trekking to Ranu Pane via Mount Ayek-Ayek (different route). After lunch at the porter house your transport will be ready to transfer you out to Surabaya.

Prices Entrance tickets: Each entrance ticket consists of entrance price and insurance:
For foreigners: Weekday Rp.210.000 per day, Weekend Rp.310.000 per day
The entrance tickets will be bought online, after online reservation is made. Canceling tickets can only be done till max 4 days ahead. Foreigners with Kitas / Kitap will still be charged foreigner price.
