Day 1: Yogyakarta – Transfer Bromo

We will begin Bromo Tour From Yogyakarta by picking you up in your hotel in Yogyakarta. You will meet our staff who brings you to Bromo area (around 9 hours drive). Check in homestay / hotel.

Day 2: Bromo Tour – Surabaya (B)

Early in the morning we will go to make an excursion to the MT. Bromo. We will drive first to the Mountain Pananjakan which has an excellent view for making pictures of the sunrise. After the sunrise we will drive to the Mountain Bromo through the sea of sand. This will be done by jeep. We will stop to at the foot of the Bromo. Visist Pura Luhur temple before we climb 246 steps to reach the rim of the mountain which gives you a great view (this will be depending on the activity of the Volcano). When you are finished we will go back to your hotel for breakfast. After checking out we will drive back to Surabaya. Optional: Visiting Madakaripura Waterfall in the way to Surabaya. Ijen Plateau is a spectacular area of volcanic activity. Sights at the Ijen Crater include 1) bright blue flames from burning sulfur gasses seen only in the dark, 2) sulfur vents spewing yellow liquid molten sulfur which is collected and hauled out by miners, and 3) the warm acidic aqua blue lake that fills the crater.       About Mount Bromo

      Mount Bromo is the most popular tourism object in East Java. Mount Bromo is interesting due to its status as an active volcano. It is of 2,392 meters above the sea level. Mount Bromo is formed by valleys and canyons with caldera or sandy sea of about 10 square kilometers. Mount Bromo has a crater with diameter of 800 meters (north to south) and about 600 meters (east to west whereas the dangerous zone takes a circular shape with radius of 4 km from the center of the crater. In this Mount Bromo area, tourists can enjoy the stunning scenery and the fresh air of the Bromo volcano which tends to be chilly by simply going for a stroll or riding a horse. This area has seen many constructions of small hotels which are quite decent for tourists.

      IjenThe volcanic cone of Ijen dominates the landscape at the eastern end of Java. Crater of Ijen is filled by a spectacular turquoise blue lake, its surface streaked in wind-blown patterns of yellow sulphur. Kawah Ijen is the world’s largest highly acidic lake and is the site of a labor-intensive sulfur mining operation in which sulfur-laden baskets are hand-carried from the crater floor. Many other post-caldera cones and craters are located within the caldera or long its rim. The largest concentration of post-caldera cones forms an E-W-treding zone across the southern site of the draw to its waterfalls, hot springs, and dramatic volcanic scenery. It is located at Licin sub district, 45 km from the city of Banyuwangi.
