Yogyakarta is a city which has much to offer. During this 3D2N tour we combine culture and nature with an adventure touch. During this trip we are going to visit some unique places in Yogyakarta and surroundings.
Yogyakarta is living in the shadow of a still active volcano called Merapi. Its last eruption was in November. The combination of the eruption in November 2010 and the fact that it was raining season made the Merapi to cough out again a flow of rain and rocks in February 2011. The first eruption and this rock flow left behind a lot of damage. Although became green again, even till now you can still see clearly de devastation it has left behind. The people around the Merapi have made a change in their lives and turned this negative in something positive. Now a day you can join 4 wheel drive jeep tours, Off-road exploration where you can see the damage from close by.

Next to Yogyakarta you can find a small village called Kotagede. Mainly know for her silver jewellery handicraft. Visit this little village to see the process of how this silver is produced.
The most known street of Yogyakarta is called Malioboro. This street has recently been renovated. They made it more comfortable to wander around surrounded by locals. This street is mainly popular under the domestic tourists for buying there souvenirs and traditional street food. At the end of this street you can find a traditional market called Bringharjo, where you can buy souvenirs, but also traditional snacks and herbs.
Yogyakarta is surrounded by several beautiful regions, one of them is Gunung Kidul. Gunung Kidul is known for her white sandy beaches and many caves and other beautiful natural sceneries such as waterfalls. The most unique and must visit place in this region is Jomblang cave. Enter this beautiful cave and witness the light of heaven. In the same region you can also find Sri Gethuk waterfall. To be able to reach this waterfall you join a small boat ride through a little green canyon. At arrival you can take a refreshing jump in the water. After this refreshment you will continue to small cave nearby. This cave is from karst rocks and is dominated by a high tree at the entrance.
In the same district you can find Nglanggaran hill. Here you can find a wonderful panoramic view, especially for sunrise. See the sun coming up and give a golden glow to its beautiful surroundings.

Departing from Banda Aceh to Geumpang, in your journey will be accompanied by a guide who will accompany you throughout the journey. Stop by in saree for snacks. Arrival at Geumpang you will be escorted to the bungalow to rest. Free program. Dinner. Free program.
D2. RAFTING – KERLING FISH

Arrival at the airport of Yogyakarta, where you will meet our staff. We will go for a culinary tour to taste the best local food where Yogyakarta is famous for. Lunch and dinner included. Check in hotel. Free program
After breakfast at the hotel, we go to visit the Borobudur temple, the largest Buddha temple complex in the world. We continue to Museum Ullen Sentalu, a private collection of Javanese Culture and Art which tells more about Yogyakarta as a Sultan city. Followed by some adventure time. We go by Jeep 4WD for a Lava tour and explore mount Merapi. Local lunch and dinner included. Back to the hotel. Free program.
After breakfast, we will take you to visit the best and most beautiful cave in Indonesia, called Jomblang cave. An incredible experience where you will go down into the vertical cave. Going further into the cave you can see the light coming in through a hole above, which gives what they call the heaven of light. Lunch box included. We continue to Kalisuci, for an cavetubing adventure where on a inside tire you will follow a small river in and out into some caves. On the way back we stop at The Manglung to enjoy sunset. After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel. During this last day in Yogyakarta city, we will take you for city tour visiting Tamansari water palace, which is the former royal garden of the Sultan Family of Yogyakarta. We continue to visit Fort Vredeburg and the famous Malioboro street. Lunch will be served at a local resto. Transfer to airport of Yogyakarta for your next destination. End of tour.
