Notes Overland Flores:

Overland Flores trip is divided into 2 types, namely Live On Board and Overland.

Live On Board: a 3-day boat trip to surround Komodo Island

Overland: travel by car. When overland every night we will stay at a different place, so luggage will always be carried, except when going to Waerebo because items that are not needed can be left in the car. Electricity is available on the ship during Live on Board. When overland, the distance between destinations is fairly far away, so prepare your physical and good stamina. Most of the stops are cool air, so bring a jacket. The temperature at Waerebo ranges from 18 degrees. In Waerebo there is electricity and a public bathroom.

Itinerary Overland Flores Tour

Day 01. Labuan Bajo – Kanawa Island – Manta point – Gili Lawa (L, D)

Pick up at Labuanbajo Airport, use the morning plane so that you arrive at Labuanbajo before 09.00. After that, go to Labuanbajo Port to start Live On Board. The first location visited is Kanawa Island, we can snorkel and take a walk around the island. After that the trip to Manta Point, here if we are lucky to see a group of Manta Pari fish swimming, there is no need for diving, just by snorkeling we can see Manta Pari Fish swimming between 10 meters, sometimes even the fish swim on the surface of the sea. After that we will go to Gililawa, Gililawa, a kind of Mandatory Flores. Every trip, Live on Board Gililawa is a must place to visit. To get the best view we have to trek around 30 minutes to the top. We will see a sunset from the top of Gililawa hill. The ship docked in Gililawa and we stayed here.

Day 02. Komodo National Park – Pink Beach – Padar Island – Gili Lawa (B, L, D)

The next morning around 06.00 we will go to Komodo Island, Loh Liang, Komodo National Park, precisely. Activities there we will be trekking to see Komodo, the largest lizard in the world. After doing medium trekking we will head to Pink Beach. Pink Beach has pink sand due to the coral reefs around the beach. Activities here we can snorkel, there are various kinds of fish and soft coral here. After that we will go to Padar Island, Padar Island has a faster current than the Kep area. Other Komodo dragons. After arriving at Padar, beautiful scenery has begun to be seen, it takes about 15 minutes of trekking to see the beach with a long coastline and has a pink beach, more pink than pink beach. After that we will be trekking for approximately 30 minutes to get to the top of Padar Island hill, from the peak we will see a very extraordinary sight, Landscape here feels like going into the movie The Lost Word, Jurrasic Park. Sunset here is no less beautiful than Gililawa, we will spend the night on Padar Island because in addition to sunset, sunrise here is also no less interesting.

Day 03. Rinca Island – Kelor Island – Labuan Bajo (B, L, D)

Before 07.00 we have to leave Padar Island because after 9:00 a.m. the current will become bigger. The journey continues to Rinca Island (Loh Buaya). Here we will look back at Komodo and trekking to the Komodo animal nest, the scenery here will be more beautiful than Komodo Island. After that we will go to Rinca Village to visit the Rainbow Reading Gardens, this Reading Garden was established to support the educational needs in the area, it is advisable to bring and reading books to donate to the Rainbow Reading Gardens. Tourist attraction here are village children who will be very enthusiastic in welcoming us, besides contributing books is a form of our concern for education. After that we will go to the last destination of the Live On Board program, Pulau Kelor. Kelor Island has a clear beach and a small coastline, but that’s where it’s beautiful, from the top of the hill we can see the entire coastline of Kelor Island and its crystal clear beaches. After that we will return to Labuanbajo. Arriving at Labuanbajo we will go to Puncak Waringin, from here we can see Sunset which is very beautiful with port, hill, sea and ships. Sunset in Labuan bajo includes 10 of the most beautiful sunset in Indonesia. After that we will have dinner at the end of the village with various seafood menus. Check in hotel. Free program.

Day 04. Labuan Bajo – Denge – Waerebo Village (B, L, D)

In the morning around 5:00 a.m. we will go to Denge using a car. The journey to Denge takes about 4 hours, the type of road on Flores is tortuous, so prepare your physical and good stamina. On the way to Denge our view of the dry Flores will disappear, because we will see a stretch of green rice fields around the streets. Lunch and continue the Trekking trip to Waerebo Village. Trekking to Waerebo takes about 4 hours, through the forest and several small rivers. Tiredness and tiredness when walking instantly will disappear when we arrive in Waerebo Village, the village between the hills that received an award from UNESCO for preserving forests and ancient architects. When we arrived in Waerebo Village, we were not allowed to take photos in advance, we had to go to the Adata Utama House for permission to stay at Waerebo Village as well as be welcomed by the traditional elders there. After that we are free to take photos, chat with local people, children there. It is recommended that we bring reading books to donate to the village children. We stay at one of the traditional houses in Waerebo village, the electricity here will light up after dark. For hobby photography, Waerebo is a suitable place for shooting at night with the Milky Way object. Besides that Waerebo is a producer of coffee and woven fabric, it will be very suitable for souvenirs.

Day 05. Waerebo – Denge – Bajawa (B, L, D)

Breakfast and before 10:00 we have to go back to Denge Village. Lunch on the way to Denge and continue the journey to Bajawa. If you are lucky you will meet a group of elementary or middle school children who have just returned from school, they will be very friendly to greet us. Arriving at Bajawa around 8:00 p.m. Dinner will be serve and check in hotel.

Day 06. Bena Traditional Village – Ende – Moni (B, L, D)

After breakfast we will head to Bena Traditional Village, this village is famous as one of the producers of woven fabric, we can buy various woven fabrics here. After that we will go to Ende, before we arrive at Ende we will stop at Blue Stone Beach, the beach here has a unique color of light blue stones. Lunch enroute, before we arrive at Moni we will pass the road which is flanked by the ravine, the ravines here instead provide another view than the others. Check in hotel before we head to Kelimutu.

Day 07. Kelimutu – Moni – Maumere – Transfer Out (B)

Early in the morning around 04.00 we will go to Kelimutu, the trip takes about 30 minutes, followed by trekking for 15 minutes. Arriving at the summit of Kelimutu we will see the lake 3 colors which are very unique and beautiful with the sun rising. Kelimutu Lake has 3 lakes with 3 different colors, this difference is due to mineral content and volcanic volcanic activity. After enjoying the view of Lake Kelimutu, we will return to Moni for breakfast, take a morning shower and check from the hotel. Depart to Maumere airport. End of services.
