Yogyakarta is mostly visited by tourists because of the fact that there are many temples to visit inside and surround this wonderful city. The most know temple is the Borobudur temple. The Borobudur temple is determined as one of the world’s cultural heritage building by UNESCO. It is the biggest Buddhist temple and it is spectacular with its historical building surrounded by green hilly landscape.

The park of Borobudur opens at 6 for the main public, but during this tour you will enter the temple complex already around 4.30 to enjoy the Sunrise Borobudur Temple. You are allowed to enter the complex by a special entrance where in the dark you can start climbing the stairs to see the sun coming up from the higher levels of the temple. The sun between the mist and the stupa’s on top of the temple, give every morning again an amazing mystic atmosphere. Every morning different again, with more or less mist, clear or less clear sun, but it get never get bored to visit this place during sunrise.

After wandering at the complex, we go down for a light snack and some coffee or tea. We continue back to Yogyakarta, but on the way we stop first to bring a short visit to two smaller temples on the way, called Pawon and Mendut Temple. Back to the hotel / train station / airport.
