4D3N Tana TorajaArrival Day 01 – Makassar – Toraja

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, met with our staff. After that we are going to Toraja with approximately 8 hours long journey. On the way we will look at Bugis Village with their typical houses. Please take a photo when there are memorable. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare – Pare. In the afternoon we will pause at the peak Lakawan to enjoy the spectacular scenery. Arrived in Rantepao in the afternoon. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at Hotel.

Day 02 Toraja (Lemo, Suaya, Londa, Kete Kesu)

Toraja 8After breakfast, we will tour full day exploring Toraja. First you will visit Lemo to see rows of statues and the hanging graves Tau Tau. Then to Suaya to discover the secret of the baby trees, and then proceed towards Londa to see ancient tombs where the deceased were not buried, but was placed among the rocks. In Kete Kesu is one of the oldest Toraja village we could see Tongkonan (traditional or ancestral home custom house Torajanese) and also an old traditional rice barn with colorful carved wood. Lunch at Rantepao. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 Toraja (Batu Tumonga, Soft Trekking – Weaving Center)

After breakfast, we will visit Batutumonga, enjoying a superb view of Rantepao and surrounding valleys. You will enjoy a walk along the rice fields where you can see the daily life of the Toraja people. Lunch at a local restaurant in Rantepao. After lunch, visit Pallawa, Sa’dan, known as the weaving center of Rantepao. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 Makassar – Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Makassar. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Pare – Pare. Then transfer to Hasanuddin Airport to catch a flight to the next destination. See you again!
