Bali

Bali is the most know Island from Indonesia. Most people say Bali in one breath with the word Indonesia. This Island is mainly known for her tropical tourism: idyllic beaches, lush green forests and rice fields tripping down hillsides. But Bali is more than that, it has the extraordinary richness of culture, which remains unique and authentic despite the tourist invasion. Bali also has a wealth of extraordinary places where tourists are a rarity.

Because of the fact that Bali is small, and has build a good infrastructure over the years, makes it easy to explore. This Island is totally different compared with the other Islands as the biggest religion on this island is Hindu. This you can find back every where on the island within the many temples, typical style houses and the clothes of the local people with her own rituals.

You can choose to travel over Bali as in an overland program, where every 2 days you change you accommodation / location or base yourself at one strategic point and make day tours to explore Bali. If you choose to stay based on one location, then Ubud is a strategic location. From here it is easy to explore Central Bali, with Gunung Kawi (Mt Kawi), Goa Gajah (Gajah Cave) and many craft villages nearby. Gunung Batur is a popular attraction in Central Bali, while Pemuteran is a popular budget beach in the north. Bali has plenty of attractions to keep you busy for a few days, a month or more.
